Our new student information system is here!
North Carolina public schools are transitioning from PowerSchool to NCSIS powered by Infinite Campus. The new NCSIS has additional features to help you monitor your child's educational progress and a mobile-friendly experience that makes it easier to see everything on the go!
Parent(s)/Gaudian(s), you will receive an email from Macon County Schools inviting you to join /register for NCSIS powered by Infinite Campus. Whether your student is new or returning, you will need to register and update information for your student. This email will contain an Activation Code to complete registration. Once the email is received, please follow the instructions in the images below.
ALL parent(s)/guardian(s) are required to update their student information or register their student online using NCSIS powered by Infinite Campus.
Macon County Public Schools has created a web page to help parent(s)/guardian (s) with this transition. https://www.macon.k12.nc.us/o/mcs/page/parent-and-student-portal
iPads will be available during Open House for families who would like to complete this process or for anyone who needs assistance.

Clear those Amazon wishlists for teachers who tirelessly work to educate our future leaders.
How you can help:
1. Find a teacher wishlist from IVE
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1--0ZvxmdnMBUEhpJihyRNCHpqkF6fMr8MtaEGtP1IOo/edit?gid=0#gid=0
2. Purchase items from a teacher’s wishlist to help them get the supplies they need.
3. Share the love: Encourage your friends and family to do the same by sharing this message.
Every little bit helps!

Summer Reading Tips

We are so lucky to have these ladies as part of our school!
Elise Parham was named teacher of the year at IVE. She is our music teacher, and responsible for most of our amazing programs. She goes above and beyond to give our students a chance to shine. The hours she puts in for student performances is astonishing. If you attended awards day- you can thank her for all the entertainment. Willy Wonka and The Nutcracker were also possible because of her. Not only does she do all that, she teaches all students everyday to love music.
Katie Wiggins was selected as support person of the year. Mrs. Wiggins is always involved in whatever is happening. She has been instrumental in our Student Lighthouse Team. She is behind most of the fun photo booths you see on our special days. She is always there to lend a helping hand, and make days memorable for our students and parents. This is on top of everything she does to help and support our kids every single day. She is wonderful, and we are so glad to have her!

We have had an amazing day at Heritage Day! Students have been able to learn about soap making, bluegrass music, foraging, Cherokee culture, rock tumbling, jam and jelly making, quilting, trapping, goats, horses, and fly fishing. Thank you so much to all of our presenters: Evan Fowler, Kim Terrell & Macon County Cooperative Extension, Julie Kolodzik, Fish Tales Outfitters, Josh Anderson, Kara Setser & 4H, Ann Jobe, Spencer Chambers, Lindy and Rebekah Blanton, Gem & Mineral Society, and Jimmy Harlan. We appreciate you donating your time and expertise to our students!

Thank you for everyone's support last week as we celebrated our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Due to the threat of rain on Friday, Field Day has been moved. Field Day will now be Wednesday, May 22. Please use the sign up link below if you can help us! We need volunteers to make this day a success. Thanks!
